How to make the best out of the overview section on a client profile

Executive Summary

  • Every client profile includes an auto-generated overview summarising the client's situation, cash flow, net assets, and activity timeline.

  • The overview regenerates automatically when new information is added to the client profile.

  • You cannot manually edit or export the overview. To change what it shows, update the source data.

  • Copy and paste the overview text if you need to use it elsewhere.

What the Client Overview Shows

The Client Overview is an auto-generated snapshot that pulls together information from meetings, uploads, emails, and notes. You can click into any item in the overview to see the full detail. It has four sections.

Client Summary

A narrative summary of the client's situation, presented as bullet points. This covers key details Marloo has identified across all sources, such as family situation, employment, financial goals, and advice history.

Cash Flow Table

A table showing income and expenses drawn from meeting discussions and uploaded documents. This updates as new information becomes available.

Net Assets Table

A table of assets and liabilities based on available information across meetings and uploads.

Timeline

A chronological record of everything added to the client profile, including meetings, uploads, emails, and notes. The most recent activity appears first.

How the Overview Updates

The overview regenerates automatically when new information is added to the client profile, such as a new meeting summary, an updated note, or an uploaded file. There is a short delay as the system waits for activity to settle before regenerating.

You cannot manually trigger a regeneration. You cannot directly edit the overview text.

The only way to change what the overview shows is to update the source data. For example:

  • Correct an error in a transcript, then let the overview regenerate.

  • Upload a more recent document with updated figures.

  • Add a note with clarifying details.

The overview will regenerate to reflect the updated information.

FAQs

Can I export the overview?

Not currently. As a workaround, you can copy and paste the overview text into a document.

The overview shows outdated information.

Check the source that the outdated information came from. This is usually a transcript or uploaded document. Correct the information at the source, and the overview will regenerate with the updated data.

How do I add more detail to the overview?

Upload additional documents to the client profile. The more context Marloo has, the more comprehensive the overview becomes.
