Understanding Clients View

How to get the most out of utilising ‘Clients’ view

Written by Hardy Michel

This article shows you how Client View brings a client's meetings, files, emails, and notes into one place you can search and query with Ask Marloo. As those pieces land - meetings you record, emails that sync, files you upload - the profile gets richer and more up to date, which is what Ask Marloo and document generation draw on.

Executive Summary

  • Uploading documents like fact finds, risk profiles, and previous SOAs makes Ask Marloo and document generation more powerful.

  • The Overview tab is an auto-generated workspace that differs for individual and group profiles, and can surface Key Insights when data is available.

Click Clients in the left sidebar to see your full client list. Select any client to open their profile.

Ask Marloo

Ask anything about your client in seconds. Click the Ask Marloo button in the top right of any client profile to query across all meetings, documents, and notes for that client.

Example questions:

  • "What did we discuss last meeting?"

  • "What was their biggest concern in January?"

  • "How is their mortgage structured?"

  • "What are their current insurance arrangements?"

Marloo provides direct answers when the information is clear, explains its reasoning when inferring, and always cites which meeting, document, or note the information came from.

For the full guide, see Using Ask Marloo in Client View.

Uploading Context

The Files tab stores all documents relevant to a client. Click Upload Documents to add files, or drag and drop documents directly into the Files area.

The more you upload, the more powerful Ask Marloo and document generation become. Suggested files include:

  • Fact finds

  • Risk profiles

  • Productrex reports

  • WealthSolver reports

  • Risk Researcher reports

  • Product disclosure statements (PDS)

  • Previous SOAs/ROAs

  • Financial statements

All common document types are supported, including PDF (text-based and scanned), Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HTML. There is no restriction on the number of documents you can upload.

Client Overview

Each client profile includes an auto-generated Overview tab. What you see depends on whether the record is an individual or a group, and on the information available. Group profiles show Members; individual profiles show contact details and linked Groups. Both can surface Key Insights when Marloo has relevant data. The overview updates automatically when new information is added. For full details, see Client Overview.

Tagging Clients to Meetings

For meetings to appear in a client's profile, tag the client to the meeting. See Managing Your Clients for instructions.

What You'll Find in a Client Profile

Each client profile is organised into tabs. In the current workspace these include:

  • Overview: the client summary and key insights. Group profiles also show Members; individual profiles show contact details and linked Groups.

  • Tasks: work linked to the client

  • Meetings: meetings linked to the client

  • Notes and Files: manually added context

  • Emails, Documents, Slides, and Forms: related material where the relevant feature is enabled

Use Ask Marloo AI at the top right of the profile to query across the available client context.
