How to export a meeting summary or generated document

Step-by-step guide to exporting Marloo meeting summaries and generated documents as Word or PDF.

Written by Jessica Zhan

Marloo exports two main things: meeting summaries and generated documents (file notes, statements of advice, records of advice, advice documents). The export flow is the same for both.

Exporting a meeting summary

  1. Open the meeting and open the summary in the editor. If a summary hasn't been created for the meeting yet, create it first.

  2. Find the Export button in the top right corner of the editor.

  3. Click Export, then click Export again on the confirmation step.

  4. Choose your format: Word or PDF.

  5. Select a style.

Exporting a generated document (file note, SOA, etc.)

  1. Open the Documents tab on the meeting or client, and click into the document you want to export.

  2. Find the Export button in the top right corner of the document editor.

  3. Click Export, then click Export again on the confirmation step.

  4. Choose your format: Word or PDF.

  5. Select a style.

Where the styling comes from

Your firm's branding (fonts, colours, logo, cover page, headers and footers) is applied automatically at export time. To configure it, go to Documents > Styles.

Uploading a logo directly in Company Settings (without going through Documents > Styles) will not apply it to exported documents. Always configure under Documents > Styles.

Can I email a summary or document straight from Marloo?

Not at the moment. Marloo doesn't send documents out by email itself, so there's no Send or Email button in the editor.

To get a summary or document to a client or a colleague:

  1. Export it as Word or PDF using the steps above.

  2. Open your own email client.

  3. Attach the exported file and send it as you normally would.

Ask Marloo can draft the covering email for you: click Compose and the draft opens pre-populated in Gmail or Outlook, where you attach the exported file and send it. See Ask Marloo AI — FAQ.

What about audio and raw transcripts?

Downloading meeting audio or the raw transcript on its own is a separate feature. Both are off by default and need to be enabled on your account by the Marloo team. See Downloading meeting audio or the raw transcript for details and how to request enablement.
