Ask Marloo AI — FAQ

Quick answers to the most common questions about Ask Marloo AI — what it can access, how to get the best results, and how to troubleshoot it.

Written by Navyaa Sharma

Ask Marloo is a context-aware AI assistant built into meetings, client profiles, and documents. It queries the real data in your Marloo workspace — it is not a general chatbot, and all responses are grounded in your actual meetings, notes, uploads, and emails.

What can Ask Marloo access?

It depends on where you open it. At the meeting level: the transcript, summary, notes, and documents uploaded to that meeting. At the client level (most powerful): all tagged meetings, all uploads, synced emails, and notes for that client. Inside a document: all context files used for that generation, plus the document content itself.

Why is Ask Marloo giving generic answers?

Open Ask Marloo from within the specific meeting or client profile — the context of where you open it determines what it can access. Also check that the meeting has been tagged to the client. Be specific in your questions: "What risk profile did the client indicate in the March meeting?" works much better than "Tell me about the client."

Why isn't Ask Marloo finding information I know is there?

A few things to check: the client may not be tagged to the relevant meeting; a recently uploaded document may still be processing (wait a minute and try again); or your question may be too broad. For uploaded PDFs, scanned files may not extract text correctly — use text-based PDFs or Word files where possible.

Can Ask Marloo search the web?

Yes. Ask Marloo can supplement its answers with general public information such as current tax rates or regulatory references. Your client data is never shared externally in the process.

Can I draft emails with Ask Marloo?

Yes. Ask Marloo to draft an email — for example, "Draft a follow-up for Jane after yesterday's meeting" — review the draft, then click the Compose button and choose Gmail or Outlook. The draft opens pre-populated in your email client for review and sending. Marloo drafts but does not send directly.

Voice input has stopped working. How do I fix it?

Refresh the page. If the issue persists, contact support. Voice input is available everywhere Ask Marloo appears — click the microphone icon in the input field to activate it.

Ask Marloo generated details that aren't in my files. What should I do?

Regenerate the response and report the issue to support. Always verify critical details against your source documents before using them in advice. This is rare, but when it happens it's important to flag it so the team can investigate.

Can I clear the Ask Marloo chat history?

Yes. Click the three dots in the top-left corner of the chat and select Clear Chat. Clearing is permanent — you'll need to re-ask your questions. In document and template editors, use the trash icon to clear the chat when responses start to degrade; long histories can reduce quality.

Can Ask Marloo perform financial calculations?

Yes. Ask Marloo can calculate and analyse financial data from uploaded documents and meetings. Each answer includes source citations and the calculation workings. Review all outputs as part of your normal advice process before relying on them.
