Two separate features cover this:
Audio download: downloading the raw audio recording of a meeting.
Transcript-only export: exporting the raw transcript on its own (not the summary or a generated document).
Both are off by default. They are gated behind a per-account setting and have to be enabled by the Marloo team. You won't find a self-serve toggle in your settings.
How to request enablement
Contact Marloo support and let us know:
Which feature you want enabled (audio download, transcript-only export, or both).
The meeting name, if your request relates to a specific meeting.
We'll enable it on your account and confirm back. Once enabled, the export option applies to all meetings, past and future. To use it:
Open the meeting and go to the Transcript tab.
Click Export.
Choose Export Text to download the transcript as a text file, or Export Audio to download the recording.
Getting a transcript onto a different meeting or client
A transcript cannot be moved between meetings or clients in Marloo. Once export is enabled you can copy it across instead:
Open the meeting that holds the transcript, go to the Transcript tab, click Export and choose Export Text.
Open the exported text file and copy the text, or copy the transcript text from Marloo directly.
Open the meeting you want it on and paste the text in as the transcript.
Generate the summary on that meeting.
If the recording simply landed on an entry with no name or the wrong time, you do not need to do any of this. Rename that meeting, correct its date and time, and tag the right client instead.
Note: if you need to remove part of a transcript (for example, audio recorded after a meeting ended), you can export the transcript, edit the file externally, re-upload it to the meeting, then delete the original.
If the upload says the audio file is too long
The audio file is too long means the recording is longer than Marloo can transcribe. It usually happens when a recording was left running for hours after the meeting finished. Earlier recordings from the same device transcribing normally is expected and does not point to a wider problem.
There is no trim function inside Marloo, so there are two ways to get the recording in:
Trim it yourself: open the file in any basic audio editor, cut the audio recorded after the meeting ended, then upload the shorter file.
Ask us to trim it: contact Marloo support with the meeting name, the time the meeting actually finished, and the total length of the recording. We will trim the recording and get it in for you.
A note on audio format
The audio file format depends on how the meeting was recorded. We can't guarantee a specific file extension up front. Once enablement is live and you've downloaded a file, get in touch if the format isn't usable for your workflow.
What you can do without enablement
Even without audio download or transcript-only export enabled, you can still export meeting summaries and generated documents as Word or PDF. See How to export a meeting summary or generated document.
