When you'll see this
If you click Connect on the calendar tile in Settings > Integrations and Microsoft shows a screen titled "Need admin approval" that reads "Marloo needs permission to access resources in your organisation that only an admin can grant. Please ask an admin to grant permission to this app before you can use it" (with options "Have an admin account? Sign in with that account" and "Return to the application without granting consent"), your organisation's Microsoft 365 administrator has restricted users from authorising third-party applications. This is the single most common Microsoft 365 calendar sync issue and it is fully self-serve from your end (no need to contact Marloo support).
What to do
You'll need to ask your IT administrator to grant consent for Marloo. You can forward them the following details:
What's needed: Admin consent for the Marloo OAuth application
Client ID:
1ecb4697-1fd9-4f44-83b4-c0bbe70927d8Permissions requested:
Calendars.Read,Calendars.Read.Shared,Mail.Read,People.Read,Contacts.Read,User.Read,offline_access
Your admin can grant consent by visiting this URL (replacing {tenant-id} with your organisation's Azure tenant ID):
https://login.microsoftonline.com/{tenant-id}/v2.0/adminconsent?client_id=1ecb4697-1fd9-4f44-83b4-c0bbe70927d8&redirect_uri=https://app.gomarloo.com/company/integrations/connect&scope=Calendars.Read%20Calendars.Read.Shared%20Mail.Read%20People.Read%20Contacts.Read%20User.Read%20offline_access
Alternatively, the admin can adjust user consent settings in the Azure Portal under Entra ID > Enterprise Applications > Consent and permissions > User consent settings and enable consent for verified publisher apps requesting low-risk permissions.
For more context on Marloo's Microsoft integration, see Connecting Microsoft Outlook to Marloo.
After your admin grants consent
Return to Marloo and open Settings > Integrations.
Click Connect on the calendar tile.
Sign in with your own Microsoft work account. Do not use the IT admin account, a shared mailbox, or a service account.
If your admin has granted consent but you still can't connect, contact Marloo support with a screenshot of any error message.
