Every client's Overview tab gives you a quick read on who they are — a written summary at the top, followed by a set of visual widgets you can now customise to suit how you work.
The summary
The summary is written as a narrative sentence (not bullet points) and gives you the essentials at a glance: who the client is, their advice areas, their goals, and the like.
Don't need it on screen? Fold it away.
The folded/unfolded state is persistent — set it once and it stays that way as you move between clients.
The widgets
Below the summary you'll find a set of widgets. They're designed to draw out the insights about a client (or group) that are worth acting on — surfacing the key things at a glance, so you don't have to dig through the record to find them.
Every client starts with a set of default widgets, including:
Net Worth & Liabilities — an interactive pie chart of the client's assets, alongside their liabilities, so you can see what they own and what they owe in one place.
Risk Profile — the client's attitude to risk at a glance.
Opportunities — areas where there may be an opportunity to advise or add value.
Key Dates Ahead — upcoming dates worth knowing about, such as reviews, renewals and milestones.
Potential Gaps — gaps in the client's planning or cover that may be worth a closer look.
Products Advised On — the products you've advised the client on.
Life Stage — where the client is in their financial life.
Advice Provided — a record of the advice given to the client.
You're no longer stuck with the defaults — you can now remove, reorder, and add to them from the Widget Library.
Customising your Overview
Open any client and click Customise above the widgets.
Click the remove on any widget to remove it.
Drag a widget to a new position to reorder it — put the ones that matter most to you at the top.
Click Done when you're happy with the layout.
The Widget Library
Want to add a widget rather than just remove one? Click Customise, then + New to open the Widget Library.
Widgets are organised into three categories: Wealth, Mortgage, and Insurance — browse the category relevant to the client in front of you.
Tick any widget to add it, or untick to remove it.
Click Apply to preview how your Overview will look with the changes.
Reorder further if needed, then click Done.
Applying your changes
Once you click Done, you'll be asked where to apply the new layout:
This client only — the layout applies just to the client you're currently viewing.
All clients — the layout applies across your entire client list in one go.
How widgets are calculated
Widgets are calculated at an individual level, against that specific client's context.
At the group level, the widgets are simply re-calculated individually for each member.
We've recently made improvements to how widget calculations are performed under the hood, so you may notice figures reflecting more accurately than before.
Checking where the information came from
Click any widget to reveal its source of truth - the underlying context Marloo pulled the information from.
This lets you verify what's shown and understand where it came from, whether that's a meeting, a file, an email or another part of the record.
Handy when you want to sense-check a figure or insight before acting on it.
When widgets update
Widgets stay current on their own. They appear once a client profile has at least one piece of context - a meeting, a file, a note, or an email - and update automatically whenever new context is added. On a brand-new profile with no content yet, widgets will not show until the first piece of context is added. Once added, widgets generate within about 30 seconds.
