Account Settings — FAQ

Quick answers to the most common questions about security, user management, permissions, and account settings in Marloo.

Written by Navyaa Sharma

Marloo is SOC 2 Type 2 certified and operates under zero data retention agreements with its AI providers. Account settings and user permissions are managed from Settings in the left sidebar.

Is my client data secure in Marloo?

Yes. Marloo holds SOC 2 Type 2 certification — an independently audited standard for data security and availability. Marloo operates under zero data retention agreements with its AI model providers, meaning your client data is never used to train AI models. Visit the Marloo Trust Centre for full details including certifications and sub-processors.

How do I invite a team member?

Go to Settings > Team and click Invite member. Enter their email address and choose their role. They'll receive an invitation email with a link to set up their account. Seats are charged per active user; check your current plan limit in Settings > Billing before inviting.

How do I remove a user from my workspace?

Go to Settings > Team, find the user, click the three-dot menu, and select Remove member. Their meetings, documents, and client data remain in the workspace and are reassigned to the admin. The seat becomes available immediately.

Can I restrict what team members can do?

Yes, with a few key controls. In Settings > Company Settings you can toggle off Allow team members to create personal templates (admins only can then create templates) and control whether email sharing is on by default. More granular permission controls are on the roadmap — contact support for the latest status.

How do I change a user's role?

Go to Settings > Team, find the user, click the three-dot menu, and select Change role. Role changes take effect immediately.

Can I enforce MFA for my team?

MFA enforcement via SSO is available on the Enterprise plan. You configure it through your identity provider (Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD, Google Workspace, or Okta), which then enforces MFA for all users in your domain before they can access Marloo. If you're on a Team plan, contact support to discuss upgrading.

How do I set up SSO for my organisation?

SSO is an Enterprise plan feature. Once enabled, users sign in via your identity provider instead of email/password. Contact [email protected] to begin the SSO setup process — you'll need your IdP metadata or SAML configuration details. Ensure all team members are provisioned in your IdP before enabling SSO enforcement to avoid lockouts.

How do I update my company name or logo?

Go to Settings > Company Settings. You can update your company name, logo, and branding colours here. Branding is applied to exported documents and the client-facing experience. Changes take effect immediately across the workspace.
