Tagging a client to a meeting is what puts that meeting, its transcript and its summary in the client's profile. This article shows you how to add a client, remove one, and handle a couple who attend together.
Add a client to a meeting
Open the meeting you want to tag.
Click Add client.
Search for the client by name and select them from the results.
Tagging works retroactively - you can tag any past meeting at any time.
The Add client button is on the meeting page, near the top under the meeting title. If you recorded on the Marloo mobile app and didn't link a client at the time, open that recording from your Meetings list first, then follow the steps above to tag the client.
If the client does not appear in the search results, create them first on the Clients page, then come back and tag the meeting.
Remove a client from a meeting
You can remove a client from any meeting, whether Marloo linked them from your calendar or you added them yourself.
Open the meeting.
Click the attendee avatars at the top of the meeting. A list of the organiser and attendees opens.
Hover over the client under Attendees and click the X that appears next to their name.
You'll see the client disappear from the meeting, and the meeting disappear from that client's Meetings tab.
Good to know:
This works for calendar meetings too. Marloo remembers the removal, so the next calendar sync will not add the client back. You do not need to edit the invite in Outlook or Google Calendar.
If you don't see an X, you don't have permission to edit attendees on that meeting. Ask the meeting's owner or your Account owner.
To add the client again, use Add client on the meeting.
Removing the client does not delete the meeting, its transcript or its summary.
A couple attended together and they share an email
What's happening: Two partners attended the meeting, but only one has a Marloo client record (or they share an email address and the second client can't be created cleanly).
Two options, both self-serve:
Combined record (simplest): rename the existing client record to include both names (for example, rename "John Smith" to "John and Jane Smith"). The meeting stays attached. No merge needed.
Separate records, then merge: create a client record for each partner. If they share an email, the second record may need a slightly different email value to be accepted. Once both records exist, open one profile, click the three-dot menu, and select Merge. This links the two clients to the meeting.
You don't need to re-upload the audio. Renaming or merging both attach the existing meeting correctly.
If you have ongoing meetings with the couple, keep the chosen setup so future meetings are tagged automatically.
