Turn off Bluetooth — a Bluetooth device connecting mid-recording can silently take over the microphone.
Enable Do Not Disturb — an incoming call can pause the recording.
Extend screen auto-lock (or set to Never) — the screen locking pauses the recording.
Place the phone on the table between participants, screen up, for best audio.
Have Wi-Fi available for uploading after the meeting.

The recording pauses — it doesn't stop. Audio up to the pause is preserved. Open the Marloo app and tap the play button to resume. Anything recorded after pressing play is appended to the original file.

Connect to Wi-Fi and open the Marloo app.
Find the recording labelled "Offline recording / Tap to upload" and tap it.
If that doesn't work, restart your phone and retry.
Force-close the app, reopen it, and try again.

Almost always caused by a Bluetooth device that connected during the recording and took over the microphone. The audio cannot be recovered. Record a voice note covering the key discussion points as soon as possible. For future recordings, turn off Bluetooth before pressing record.

Check the Past tab on the Marloo web dashboard (not Upcoming). It may appear as an untitled meeting — look for a recent entry without a name. Give it a name and tag the relevant client on the web app (client tagging is web-only).

Marloo can't record phone calls directly. On iPhone (iOS 18.1+): use native call recording (tap More → Call Recording during the call), save to Files, then upload to Marloo via New Meeting → Upload. On Android: use your device's native call recording if available, then upload the file the same way.
