How the Marloo Pro trial works

The Pro trial is two weeks, self-activated by generating your first document. No staff approval needed.

Written by Liam McGuire

If you're on the Free or Plus plan and want to try Pro features (including Document Generation), you can start a free Pro trial yourself. No need to contact support.

The basics

  • The Pro trial runs for two weeks.

  • You activate it yourself by generating your first document. There's no approval step.

  • Your trial period begins on the date you generate that first document, not on the day you sign up.

  • During the trial you have access to the full Pro feature set, including Document Generation and Review Mode.

How to start your trial

  1. Open Documents in the left-hand navigation. You'll see it labelled with a Pro badge.

  2. Click New document.

  3. Generate a document from one of your meetings. As soon as that document is generated, your two-week Pro trial starts.

Important: don't click "Manage Plan" expecting to start a trial

The Manage Plan button in your settings goes to paid billing, not a trial. If you click it and step through, you're starting a paid Pro subscription, not a free trial.

If you've clicked Manage Plan by accident, contact Marloo support and we'll sort it out.

What happens when the trial ends

After two weeks, Document Generation access pauses until you upgrade to Pro. Any documents you generated during the trial stay accessible. Your other data (recordings, transcripts, summaries) is unaffected.

To upgrade, go to Settings > Billing > Upgrade.
