Executive Summary

  • The Marloo app is available on iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play) for recording meetings and uploading phone call files (Doesn't record phone calls)

  • Log in with the same credentials you use for the Marloo web app.

  • Before recording, turn on Do Not Disturb, turn off Bluetooth (unless using a Bluetooth microphone), and keep the app in the foreground.

  • Uploading recordings requires internet connection.

Download the App

Download the Marloo app for your device:

  • iOS: Download from the Apple App Store.

  • Android: Download from the Google Play Store.

You can also find download links on the Marloo website.

If you already have the app installed, make sure it is updated to the latest version before recording.

Open the app and log in using the same email and password you use for the Marloo web app. If your organisation has multi-factor authentication (MFA) enabled, you will be prompted to complete that step as well.

Once logged in, the app will automatically pull through your scheduled meetings from your connected calendar.

What You Can Do on Mobile

The Marloo app lets you:

  • Record in-person meetings

  • Upload phone calls (using your device's native call recording, then uploading to Marloo)

  • View meeting summaries that have been generated on the web app

  • Upload audio recordings

What Requires the Web App

Some features are only available on the Marloo web app:

  • Generating summaries and documents from recordings

  • Editing transcripts

  • Managing templates, clients, and settings

  • Tagging clients to meetings

After recording and uploading on mobile, log in to the web app to generate your summary and tag the relevant client.

Important Setup Tips

Before you start recording, configure these settings on your phone:

  • Turn on Do Not Disturb. There is a small chance that an incoming phone call could pause the recording. Enabling Do Not Disturb prevents this.

  • Turn off Bluetooth (unless you are already using a Bluetooth microphone). If a Bluetooth device connects during a recording, it can take over the microphone and interrupt the audio capture. If you are already using a Bluetooth microphone, leave Bluetooth on.

  • Keep the app in the foreground. If the app goes to the background (for example, by switching to another app or tapping a notification), the recording may pause or stop.

  • Extend your screen auto-lock. Go to your phone's display settings and set the screen timeout to the longest option, or disable auto-lock entirely during the meeting.

  • Connect to Wi-Fi before uploading. Recordings are saved locally on your device and upload when you have a stable internet connection. Connect to Wi-Fi before uploading for the best results.
