Creating a new template
In this section, you'll learn:
How to navigate to the Templates section
Creating a new template from scratch or using our library
Understanding the difference between regular text and instruction text (white vs. blue background)
How Marloo interprets your instructions
When creating templates in Marloo, it's important to understand the distinction between regular text and instruction text:
White background text: Represents section headers and structure
Blue background text: Contains specific instructions for Marloo on how to capture and format information
For example, in the risk tolerance section, blue text like "Note specific examples or quotes demonstrating my client's risk tolerance" tells Marloo to include direct client quotations whenever risk tolerance is mentioned.
Customising your template structure
This section covers:
Adding detailed instructions to guide Marloo's note-taking
Including examples to demonstrate your preferred format
How to use sub-bullets and hierarchical structures in your templates
Marloo can learn from the examples you provide. By showing the structure you prefer (like parent-child relationships in family composition details), Marloo will follow similar patterns when taking notes during actual meetings.
Tailoring templates to your workflow
Here you'll discover:
How to delete sections that aren't relevant to your practice
Combining or separating sections based on your preferences
Creating a template structure that matches your note-taking style
Templates are completely customisable to fit your unique workflow. You can remove sections you don't need, combine related topics, or reorganise content to match how you naturally take notes during client meetings.
